Get your goddam arse back here, soldier... Sir! No Sir!

¨Get your goddam arse back here, soldier¨. ¨SIR! NO SIR!¨ This could easily have been a quote from the David Zeiger documentary "Sir! No Sir!" However, as far as I know it is not.

The film recounts the opposition to the Vietnam War that existed within the ranks of the United States Army at the time, and how it found its expression.

It screened in New York City last night, and I would be interested to hear comments from any one who saw it...(please post your comments below).

Here is a review by Manohla Dargis of the New York Times

He who dares - dissents...

Five
Zero
Three
Nine
Two
Six
No sir! No sir, not disporting tricks,
You must pay attention to our dissension,
To ignore our plea, would be disaster you see!

Wrong!
Wrong!
Wrong!
Listen Pentagon,
Mistakes be repeated, morale be depleted.

Excuse the stir
The blur
Concur
Sir! No! No! No! Sir!

Heed the deed, the patriots creed.
Defense!
Offense!
No Pretence!
No malfeasance
Moral credence!

New generation, question away,
No mistakes
No decay!
Lessons learnt, must adhere,
Join the ranks, free from fear,
The whistles blowing, the colors glowing,
Truth is growing, almost knowing!
